Spaghetti and Meatsauce

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
  • 3/4 lb of ground beef
  • 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes
  • salt to taste (if necessary)
  • fresh oregano
  • 1 box of spaghetti (dry)

Cooking supplies

  • Burner or stove
  • Sauce pan
  • Frying pan
  • Large pot

Directions

  • In a frying pan, brown 3/4 lbs of beef with 2 tbsp of olive oil (set to the side when finished)
  • In a sauce pan add the remaining olive oil, garlic, pepper and onions (cook for 5 minutes or until fragrent)
  • Add the can of tomatoes to the sauce pan
  • Season with salt, pepper and oregano and let simmer
  • add ground beef
  • In a separate pot prepare the spaghetti according to the directions on the box
  • Serve sauce on top of the prepared spaghetti
